Police Search for Man Exposing Himself to Students in San Ramon

Parents and students in San Ramon are on alert after police say a man exposed himself to school children as they walked home from school.

There are at least two reported incidents of the suspect exposing himself to kids, according to police.

"I definitely don't want it to happen to me or anyone else," said Desiree, a 16-year-old student in San Ramon.

Police say the man drove up next to middle school students and exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl as she walked home from Gale Ranch Middle School two weeks ago. He even tried to grab her, according to police.

The suspect struck again on Monday when he victimized a Dougherty Valley High School student who was walking across a footbridge after school. He first asked to take a photo with her, police say.

"At the conclusion of that picture he exposed himself and began masturbating and asked if she could take a picture of that," said Mike Boehrer with the San Ramon Police Department.

The school district is warning parents and students about the danger. Police said they will increase patrols and their presence in the area.
