San Francisco police homicide inspectors are seeking assistance in solving the 2006 killing of Aubrey Abrakasa.
On Aug. 14, 2006, at 3:14 p.m., the 17-year-old student died at the intersection of Grove and Baker streets after being shot multiple times.
"Aubrey's mother, Paulette Brown, has been a tireless advocate for her son and for the families of other murder victims," police said in announcing that Brown would be handing out fliers and available to talk about the case at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the scene of the shooting, accompanied by a member of the department's homicide detail.
A $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the shooting was authorized by the mayor's office in 2012.
Anyone with information about this or any other homicide case is asked to call the homicide detail at (415) 553-1145 or the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444. Tips can also be sent by text to TIP411, beginning the text with SFPD.
