Rain, lightning and even hail.
That's the type of weather that permeated the Bay Area commute from downpours in Danville to what appears to be hail along the freeways in the East Bay and stretching to Redwood City.
That's not to mention the lightning streaks that lit up the sky overnight from San Jose to Oakland.
The National Weather Service expects the rain to last through Friday. Skies should clear up on Saturday, with mostly sunny weather expected through Monday.
