Rank Choice Voting Explained

Election day may not end with a winner.

 Because there are 16 people running for mayor of San Francisco, it will be hard for someone to win outright Tuesday.  If someone does not get more than 50-percent of the vote, a system called Ranked Choice Voting will kick which takes into account people's second and third options.
