Reddit has launched Upvoted, a website for original editorial content.
The popular San Francisco-based online community of more than 200 million monthly users worldwide announced the debut on the company blog Tuesday.
Product manager Heath Black wrote that Upvoted will be a home for original written stories, videos and art, plus a podcast. There will be between 10 and 40 new stories to peruse each day.
Despite the name, user voting and comments — the lifeblood of Reddit — are not part of the site.
