Redwood City Flooding Feared at High Tide

The rain stopped, but that didn't mean an end to the weather troubles

Officials in Redwood City are advising residents that this afternoon's high tide could bring flooding to some neighborhoods.

Redwood City police issued a statement that a high tide at about 1:45 p.m. could impact residents in the southeastern portion of the city near Broadway, Page Street, Rolison and Bay roads.

Residents were being advised to move their cars from the area as soon as possible to avoid the likelihood of temporarily flooded streets.

Anyone encountering a flooded roadway should not try to drive through it, police said. Sand bags were available at 1400 Broadway.
