Report: 70 Passports Stolen in S.F.

About 70 Indian passports were stolen from a private company, a theft currently under investigation by San Francisco police, according to reports.

All of the passports have been canceled, the Times of India reported.

The theft occurred in November, when the passports were discovered missing from BLM International's San Francisco office, according to reports.

The passports went missing from a locked safe, along with cash and some checks. No information on suspects or on the progress of the investigation were available, and it was not clear when the passports were canceled.

Stolen passports are in the news of late. The Malaysian airliner that went missing over the ocean in southeast Asia had stolen passports on board.
