Report East Bay Crimes Online

No more waiting for an officer to write up police reports or waiting on the phone for a voice.  Crime victims in Pleasanton can now report incidents such as harassment, theft and vandalism online.

Officers said  people should only use the site for non-emergency crimes, since the system is not continuously monitored.  Police also said crimes where there are known suspects or evidence that needs to be collected should be reported by calling 911 or the Pleasanton Police Department at 925-931-5100.

The system is available at the Pleasanton Police Department's Web site.

Officers warned pranksters that the online reporting system is covered under state laws that crack down on those who file false police reports.
