Rescued Bobcat Suffers From a Broken Pelvis

A bobcat found on the side of a road near Crockett on Tuesday has a broken pelvis and possible head injuries, according to officials at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience museum in Walnut Creek where the animal is currently being treated.

Lindsay Wildlife posted photos on its Facebook page Wednesday of the fully-grown male bobcat, which was found when California Highway Patrol officers responded at about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday to a report of an injured animal on the side of Cummings Skyway east of Crockett Boulevard.

The animal remains in critical care at the Walnut Creek facility, where veterinarians "are still trying to figure out how extensive his injuries are and the best course of action," Lindsay Wildlife officials said in the Facebook post.
