Richmond BART Station Reopens After Fatal Collision on Tracks

BART officials said the Richmond BART station has reopened after a patron was struck by a train and killed Friday afternoon.

The collision, which occurred shortly before 4:35 p.m. at the Richmond station, forced the closure of the Richmond and El Cerrito del Norte stations.

The El Cerrito station reopened quickly but the Richmond station remained closed for several hours due to the investigation.
