A Rodeo man has been booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on $5.5 million bail on suspicion of sex offenses involving children, according to Contra Costa County sheriff's deputies.
Lonnie Wright, 69, allegedly carried out the offenses in the Rodeo area, and was arrested in Stockton.
Detectives with the sheriff's office filed their case with the Contra Costa County district attorney on Tuesday, and Wright has since been charged with 10 felonies including forcible lewd acts upon a child as well as sexual intercourse and oral copulation with a child under 10.
Detectives say Wright may have provided some kind of childcare for a number of children, and there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
