San Francisco Park Set to Become a Movie Theater

The drive-in may be long gone (unless you live in Concord) but the outdoor movie experience is still alive and well in San Francisco.

Washington Square Park, in the City's North Beach neighborhood, will be the place to be this weekend for movie lovers.

The scenic park will transform into an outdoor movie theater and all you need to do is bring your blankets (no chairs please) and food. There is no cover charge but donations are encouraged.

Eight film screenings last year drew more than 15,000 film lovers. This Saturday Film Night in the Park will show the Oscar winning movie "Slumdog Millionaire." The party starts at dusk.
