A 39-year-old San Francisco man killed last week after a motorcyclist crashed into him and another pedestrian was remembered in a memorial held Tuesday.
Gregory Ihm suffered serious head trauma in the collision and succumbed to his injuries on July 2.
"I'll never hear him say 'Hi mom, it's Greg' again," said his mother, Maureen Ihm. "It just hurts so much."
Ihm was walking on Market Street, near 3rd Street, on July 1 when police said 26-year-old Sean McGinnis lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into him and another pedestrian.
The second pedestrian lost teeth and suffered facial lacerations and pain to the hip and leg areas, San Francisco police Officer Grace Gatpandan said.
Ihm's co-workers at Macy's Union Square held a memorial late Tuesday.
"(He was) a gentle soul and attracted the best out of everybody," said Ihm's sister, Chris Ihm. "Everybody loved him."

Gatpandan said McGinnis on Monday was booked for felony DUI alcohol causing bodily injury, felony DUI drugs causing bodily injury and felony vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
The San Francisco Sheriff's Department said that McGinnis is in custody with bail set at $500,000.
