A person was fatally shot in the head in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood Tuesday night, according to police.
The shooting was reported at about 9:15 p.m. in the first block of Turner Terrace in the Potrero Annex public housing area, according to San Francisco Police Officer Gordon Shyy.
A responding officer found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his head, he said. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, Shyy said.
A large crowd also formed near the crime scene late Tuesday, Shyy said.
