San Francisco Sets Up Emergency Text Alerts for Pride

The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management is providing people attending Pride activities in San Francisco this weekend with a number to text to receive emergency alerts.

The city announced that attendees to Pride weekend festivities can text PRIDESF to 888-777 to receive alerts from AlertsSF, San Francisco's emergency text message system.

City officials are advising attendees to be cautious of their surroundings, keep friends close, to not drink and drive, accept drinks from strangers or leave a bar or club with a stranger if you feel unsure about them.
