A San Francisco sheriff's deputy faces multiple charges, including felony criminal threats and sexual battery, following an alleged violent outburst at a party last week, according to police.
Deputy Dominic Barsetti, 32, was at a small party at a home on Josepha Avenue Thursday night when he allegedly broke items, assaulted victims and threatened to return to the residence to shoot people, police said, citing victim statements.
Barsetti left the home before being detained without incident, police said.
He was booked in San Francisco County Jail on charges of terrorist threats, vandalism and sexual battery, according to police.

Barsetti's court hearing to enter a plea was delayed on Tuesday, but prosecutors still summarized the incident in court.
Prosecutors said Barsetti brought a bottle of Jack Daniels to a neighbor's potluck dinner and became violent. The deputy is accused of smashing a glass tank that held his neighbor's lizard, groping an 18-year-old and pulling her hair, and then threatening to return and shoot everyone as he was leaving.
"What witnesses described was a belligerent rampage -- perhaps alcohol induced," San Francisco District Attorney Eric Quandt said. "But they were in fear for their lives and they went running from their own house thinking they were going to be shot by this deputy."

Barsetti was not in court Tuesday, but his parents were. His father is a retired San Francisco police officer. The parents both left without commenting on the incident.
The deputy was also placed on paid leave on Tuesday.
