San Francisco to Honor General Zod

He may not have the local appeal of  a Robin Williams or a Sean Penn but Terence Stamp will join the actors on a short list.

The "Superman II" and "Wall Street" actor will be honored during the San Francisco International Film Festival with the Peter J. Owens Award.

A ceremony will be held Friday at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco at 7:30 p.m. discussing the works of Stamp, which includes "Star Wars," "Get Smart," "Wanted," Valkyrie" and most recently "The Adjustment Bureau."

Stamp will be on hand to discuss his 50 year movie career, which includes appearances in 74 productions.

The Peter J. Owens Award is given to an actor whose work "exemplifies brilliance, independence and integrity."
