Police were investigating a traffic collision Thursday afternoon that resulted in a male bicyclist suffering serious injuries near a busy San Jose intersection.
At 12:50 p.m., officers responded to the report of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist at the intersection of Monterey Road and Curtner Avenue, according to police.
An ambulance took the bicyclist to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The intersection was closed in all directions. Traffic was diverted until shortly before 4:30 p.m., according to police.
