
Firefighters in San Jose responded Friday morning to an outdoor fire that prompted evacuations from a homeless encampment, according to fire officials.
The blaze ignited at about 6:40 a.m. on Great Oaks Boulevard near Monterey Road, and no structures were immediately threatened, fire officials said.
No injuries were immediately reported.
Monterey Road was closed between Great Oaks and Bernal Road.
