Police Arrest Two Suspects Who Stole Medication From Safeway in San Ramon

San Ramon police said Monday night that they arrested two suspects who allegedly stole over-the-counter medications from a supermarket.

According to police, an employee at a Safeway store called to report that the two suspects stole medications and then fled in a silver Hyundai with paper license plates.

Within minutes of the call, patrol officers located the vehicle and pulled it over. Inside the car, they found $10,000 worth of stolen over-the-counter medications and $2,000 worth of stolen merchandise from other local retailers, police said.

The two suspects were arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, police said. Police did not release their names or booking photos.
