Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was a featured speaker at the Commonwealth Club of California to promote his new book, "The Briefing."

The book focuses on Spicer's turbulent tenure as press secretary and the Trump administration's tense first few months. Spicer talked about how working for President Trump was unorthodox from the very start.

"There were times when I would say that's unsustainable or untenable because of the following and we would go back and forth," Spicer said.

Spicer served as White House press secretary for six months, from January to July 2017.
