SF Man Clings to Life After Christmas Morning Beating

San Francisco police are investigating an assault in the city's
Mission District Wednesday morning that left a man with life threatening injuries
at a local hospital.

The assault began at about 4 a.m. near the intersection of Mission
and 25th streets, according to police.

The victim apparently said something to five teenage suspects, who
then followed the man to the intersection of Mission and 20th streets before
throwing him to the ground and attacking him, police said.

The victim is at a local hospital with life threatening injuries,
according to police, who said no arrests have been made and no suspect
information was immediately available.
