Party at SFO for World’s Largest Plane

Ever thrown a party to watch an airplane land?

Well San Francisco International Airport is doing just that and you're invited. The world's largest passenger plane is scheduled to make its first touchdown in San Francisco on Tuesday.

To commemorate the occasion, SFO is throwing an A380 plane spotting party. Forget what you've heard about trainspotting, this is way cooler than that. And easier.

All you need to do is bring a lawn chair and some blankets -- it can get cold near the airport -- and head down to Bayfront Park in Milbrae Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Bring your smartphone and get there early and you won't even have to bring your own lunch.

The first 100 people to register at the party with Lufthansa's ticket draw will not only have the chance to win two free tickets aboard the plane, but also a free boxed lunch.

The first 100 people to check in to the park via Foursquare will also receive a "special prize."

Lufthansa will begin flying the world's largest passenger plane from SFO to Germany this week.

The Airbus made plane is a double-deck, wide-body plane with four-engines that can carry up to 853 passengers depending on how it is set up.
