San Francisco police began investigating a fatal stabbing homicide at the Valmar Apartments on Monday morning, in a case where they believe the suspect could still be inside the apartment building.
The homicide was reported at 3:18 a.m.in the 1700 block of Market St. Inside, police found a man, who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics in the lobby of the apartment.
Officer Gordon Shyy said there was no suspect information, but a sergeant at the scene told NBC Bay Area that the suspect may be inside the apartments, or he may have escaped.
Before 7 a.m., police had been questioning at least three suspects and put the building on lockdown. At least one witness was on scene, looking at potential suspects who were blinded by police headlights as the witness was trying to positively ID them.
No immediate arrests were announced.
