Sharks Radio Man Dan Rusanowsky Calls 2,000th NHL Game

The San Jose Sharks radio play-by-play broadcaster, Dan Rusanowsky, called his 2,000th regular season NHL game Tuesday night during the Sharks' shootout win over the Arizona Coyotes, according to the team's website.

Rusanowsky has called every regular season and Stanley Cup Playoff game in Sharks franchise history, with the exception of 27 regular season games he missed during the 2000-01 season after he was injured in an auto accident, the Sharks said.

The 38-year veteran will be recognized for the milestone at SAP Center in San Jose during the Jan. 23 Sharks game against the Winnipeg Jets, the team said.

In 2013, Rusanowsky was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame in the sports category.
