Police investigating after shooting leaves 3 injured in San Francisco

Police are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting which left three people injured in the area of Golden Gate Avenue and Leavenworth Street in San Francisco.

It happened sometime before 12:43 p.m., according to the San Francisco Police Department. One car pulled up alongside a parked and occupied car, and someone started shooting. Both cars then took off. 

It’s not clear if the shooting was one-sided or was an exchange of gunfire. 

Officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds on-site, and both were taken to the hospital. A third person suffering a gunshot wound arrived at another hospital, and was later determined to be connected to the shooting. 

All three are described as having non-life-threatening injuries. 

SFPD said it is now investigating the shooting and asks anyone with information to reach out it at 415-575-444.
