Shots Fired at Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies in West Oakland

Shots were fired at two Alameda County Sheriff's deputies in West Oakland Wednesday afternoon.

Neither deputy was injured, according to Sgt. Ray Kelly.

The shooting occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m at multiple crime scenes in the vicinity of Market Street and West Grand Avenue, according to Kelly.

"Our deputies were in the area and they got shot at," Kelly said.

"Right now it does not appear that they returned fire."

Further details were not immediately available this afternoon.
