Santa Clara police early Tuesday detained one person after an incident prompted a "significant" police response at Kaiser Santa Clara Hospital.
A police spokesperson confirmed the police activity at the emergency room at the Kaiser campus on Lawrence Expressway but did not offer details on what exactly prompted the response. The spokesperson did say it was not an active shooter situation.
The initial call came into police at about 5 a.m. and was resolved about 2 hours later, the spokesperson said.
No injuries were reported.
No further details were immediately available.
