SJPD Asks for Public's Help in Identifying 2 Armed Robbery Suspects

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men who robbed a liquor store while armed with a handgun late last month, police said.

The robbery was reported at 10:13 p.m. on Jan. 25 at Shan Market at 1250 E. Julian St. and the suspects were caught on surveillance cameras.

Police said the two men can be seen demanding money and two bottles of liquor from a store clerk, who was not injured during the confrontation.

One suspect was armed with a silver semi-automatic pistol concealed in his waistband and both men left the store with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The armed suspect is described as a Hispanic man 18 to 25 years old who is about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds and was wearing a black "The North Face" windbreaker with a hood, blue jeans and black shoes.

The other suspect is a Hispanic man of the same age who is 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, between 140 and 160 pounds with a thin mustache. He was wearing a black windbreaker with a hood, red hat and pants with a black and white stripe on the side. He was also carrying a bag with black, red, yellow and green stripes on it.
