SJPD Identify Weekend Homicide Victim

A man found fatally shot at a San Jose home early Sunday morning has been identified by San Jose police as 29-year-old Kimo Joshua Fernandez.

At about 1:45 a.m., police received reports of a person shot at a home in the 2500 block of Roslyn Court. Fernandez, a San Jose resident, was  pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have released few details on the shooting but department spokesman Officer Jermaine Thomas said this morning there was a party at the  home when the shooting occurred.

He said he does not believe the victim lived there.

No suspects have been arrested but police have interviewed multiple witnesses who were at the party, Thomas said.

The motive remains under investigation.
