SJPD: Both Cars Found in Elderly Home Invasion

San Jose police on Wednesday announced that the two cars stolen in a brutal home invasion of an elderly couple in Alamaden Valley earlier this week have been located.

Sgt. Jason Dwyer said the 1997 Toyota Camry, which had been stolen Monday from a home in the 6700 block of Bret Harte Drive, was found by the California Highway Patrol near U.S. Highway 101 and Highway 152 near Casa de Fruta.

The couple's other car - a 2007 green Toyota Highlander with a license plate number 5XIU520 - was found in the Uvas Reservoir, according to police.

Still, no suspects have been found.

San Jose police have been looking for "several" men who forced their way into an elderly couple's home and tied them up. The woman is 76 and the man is 73. The robbers ransacked the home and they were in there for quite some time, police said.

At some point, either the husband or wife untied themselves and were able to run to a neighbors' home and call for help.
