It was a tense day at Jewish schools and synagogues throughout the Bay Area Friday due to the Hamas declaration of a 'Day of Jihad', or day of rage.
Some secular places, such as colleges, also took safety measures.

Because of the call for a global day of Jihad, Bay Area Jewish organizations are even more fearful of antisemitic violence. SFPD stepped up patrols at religious and cultural institutions and so far, things are peaceful. But anxiety is still high. Robert Handa reports.
