Spring Warmup: Some Bay Area Spots to Surpass 80 Degrees

California will have a brief spring fling with summerlike temperatures that could produce records.

Highs will reach into the 90s Monday in Southern California due to high pressure and gusty offshore flow.

The Central Coast and parts of the San Francisco Bay Area can expect warming into the 80s.

Forecasters say sea breezes will return Tuesday, but Southern California valleys will remain warm.

Northern portions of the Bay Area will see light rainfall Tuesday as a weak weather system moves through, followed Wednesday by a slightly stronger system with more widespread light rain that could last into Thursday.
