Stabbing Suspect Charged With Suspicion of Attempted Homicide in San Bruno

San Bruno police have arrested a 26-year-old man who allegedly stabbed one man Thursday night and threatened to kill two others, officers said.

Oscar SananCastro of San Bruno was booked on suspicion of three counts of attempted homicide after investigation of the stabbing led police to two other people who contended SananCastro had threatened them, San Bruno police said Friday.

San Bruno police responded about 11:30 p.m. Thursday to the 500 block of San Mateo Avenue, where a man told police he thought at first a stranger had struck him in the back and fled. The victim went into a nearby business, where he discovered he'd been stabbed, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening stab wounds.

Investigating officers were led to the 400 block of Angus Avenue, where they learned SananCastro had threatened to kill two of his neighbors, having charged at them with knives. SananCastro was found nearby a short time later, police said, arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
