Stanford Replaces Library With Green Space

Goodbye Meyer Library.

Stanford University unveiled a new green space Tuesday where the library had stood since 1966.

The beautifully landscaped green space in the center of campus is complete with benches and walkways.

The university decided to demolish Meyer instead of spending $45 million to bring it into compliance with seismic safety standards.
