Steve Jobs Is a Coldplay Fanboy

Apple cofounder turns up backstage at recent Shoreline appearance

Steve Jobs, the Apple cofounder who's inspired more than a bit of blind adoration from admirers, turns out to be a Coldplay fanboy himself.

Jobs, whose health has made headlines in recent months, felt well enough to turn out to the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, Calif., to take in a concert put on by the Britpop band.

And according to one of the roadies, he even made an appearance backstage:

I spot Steve chatting with Dave Holmes outside the dressing room and suddenly feel like a star-struck teenager. In order to get the gall up to speak to the guy, I down a double espresso. The mixture of caffeine buzz and feeling like a cheesy little fanboy means that all I can manage to say to him is "Thank you so much". I realise that I'm quite simply making a tit of myself and so excuse myself as fast as I appeared.

Good thing you didn't touch Jobs, Roadie #42 -- that kind of thing can get you shunned quicker than a PC user at a hipster cafe in the Mission.

Jackson West recently shuddered when he found two old Coldplay records buried among some CDs, and realized he must have been drunk at the time.
