This weekend's strangest musical double bill comes courtesy of the 49ers playoff opener against the Green Bay Packers, held on January 12 at Candlestick Park. Former San Francisco-based hitmakers Huey Lewis and the News will sing the National Anthem, while Vallejo rapper E-40 will rhyme for halftime.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Huey Lewis and the News' multi-platinum selling album Sports, a milestone the band plans to celebrate on the road throughout the year. Meanwhile, E-40 recently released a double album of songs called History with longtime colleague, Oakland rapper Too $hort.
While tickets are sold out for the game, the Mercury-News reports that some might be available via NFL Ticket Exchange; the action will also be broadcast on television via Fox and on various radio stations including 107.7 The Bone.
