Is all the warm weather getting to you? There may be a break in the pattern coming up.
After triple-digit highs on Monday and Tuesday there is relief in the forecast. The Bay Area's natural air conditioner (fog) made its way to the Golden Gate Tuesday night and that brought down temperatures in a big way for the City and areas along the coast.
Summer to fizzle:
After the warmest day of 2011 and the hottest weather in nine months our heat has peaked. However, temperatures will still remain warm to hot for our inland locations Wednesday with more upper 80s and 90s. The largest drop should be felt near the Coast with 60s and 70s returning as fog slowly develops.
Sierra snow melt?
From Lake Tahoe to Yosemite, Sierra snow melt continues from our record setting spring and winter snow. Flood watches, warnings and advisories are being posted into at least Friday. Snow melt conditions are expected to continue until at least June 27th. The main concern is over Sacramento to Fresno.
Summer rain?
A long range model puts showers in Oregon next Tuesday through Wednesday. This is something to watch as a slight deviation could bring us very rare late June showers.
