Sunnyvale PD Go After Possible Predator

12-Year-Old Girl Reports Incident

The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety is looking for a man who may be responsible for a "suspicious incident" involving a 12-year-old girl. They released a sketch of the man on Wednesday.

Officers said the man approached the girl on Monday, Oct. 6, at the intersection of Bryant Way and Sprig Court as she rode her bicycle home from a Sunnyvale Middle School.

He offered the girl $20 if she would get inside his vehicle, which was parked nearby, officers said.

The girl rode away from the suspect without responding to him, officers reported.

When she arrived home, she reported what happened to her mom, who called police.

Officers said they were unable to locate the man.

The man is described as a white adult male, about 40 year-old, between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing between 140 and 160 pounds with light brown hair.

The man is believed to be driving a small, white, four-door vehicle, similar to a Nissan or Honda.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Sunnyvale Detective Jeff hunter 408-730-7120.
