David Douglas, 42, of Antioch has been charged with one count of kidnapping for sexual purposes with a deadly weapon, forcible lewd act on a child, three counts of attempted kidnapping for sexual purposes, and possession of child pornography, according to police.

Police said after allegedly kidnapping the girl from her home in the 3800 block of Hummingbird Drive at about 6:45 p.m. he was found later that night at the Antioch Marina with the girl in his parked car.

The girl was not injured and was reunited with her family.

Police are investigating the possibility that Douglas had attempted other kidnappings prior to Friday. Investigators don't believe that he knew the victim or her family and police have said she was a random target.
