Authorities said a box with wires and components was found in the area, prompting a nearby apartment complex to be evacuated as a precaution. After the box was detonated, investigators concluded the suspicious device was not a bomb.
The Alameda County Fire Department and an ambulance also responded to the scene as a precaution.
