Thornton Avenue reopens after bomb squad inspection finds no threat

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office bomb squad determined a suspicious object found at a Fremont bus stop posed no danger Wednesday morning, according to police.

The object was reported at a bus stop on Thornton Avenue between Blacow Road and Dusterberry Way at 9:02 a.m., police said.
