Tech Museum Grows Up After Dark

When was the last time you visited the Tech Museum?

The San Jose museum is ripping a page out of the California Academy of Sciences playbook and opening up its doors at night for grown ups to sip a little "Tech-Tini" and try your hand at a board game or an old school Nintendo game.

The Tech Museum will host its first "Tech Museum After Hours" event July 6 for adults over 21. The series will take place the first Wednesday of every month.

It will give adults a chance to unwind with a different technology-themed social every month and gain access to the museum in a way they haven't seen before.

This week, in addition to a game of Scrabble, attendees will be able to play Nintendo on a 25-foot screen with 13,000 watts of wrap-around digital sound in the IMAX Dome Theater.
