The Dish on Shakespeare and More at SF Book Fest

Rare books from all over go on sale next week

The 42nd California International Antiquarian Book Fair is where Shakespeare and Perez Hilton meet. No seriously. The world's largest rare book event features the handwritten journals of celebrities to rare manuscripts from around the globe.

Book lovers and collectors can find the world’s finest stocks of rare and antiquarian books, manuscripts and related materials priced from a few dollars to a couple of hundred thousand dollar bills.

The books available for purchase include early printed books and manuscripts, illustrated books, fine bindings, early American and European literature, modern first editions, children’s books, maps, autographs, ephemera, and antiquarian books on history, science, law, architecture, economics, gastronomy, wine and scores of other fields.

The fair will be held in San Francisco from Friday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Concourse Exhibition Center. Over 240 rare booksellers from around the world will be participating in the fair, which will also feature several seminars with book experts and the opportunity to have the value of your rare treasures assessed.
