Firefighters Investigating 3-Alarm Fire at Red-Tagged Home in Pacifica

Firefighters knocked down a three-alarm fire at a red-tagged home in Pacifica Friday afternoon.

The fire was reported at a home at 1070 Palmetto Ave., an area officials said has sustained damage due to bluff erosion. The home is also behind a tow yard.

Fire officials said the blaze was reported at 2:30 p.m. and when crews arrived on scene they found the home fully engulfed in flames. The response was upgraded to three alarms at 3:15 p.m., authorities said.

No injuries have been reported.

Arson investigators have been called to the scene and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
