Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputies early Tuesday morning caught three suspects in a stolen car that crashed into a fire hydrant in Campbell.
Lt. Mike Powers said a deputy began tracking a stolen black Acura in Saratoga about 3 a.m.
The suspects, two young men and a woman, apparently panicked, Powers said, and took off at a high rate of speed, possibly 90 mph, Powers said.
After giving deputies a chase, the driver of the Acura lost control and hit a fire hydrant in a Campbell front yard.
All three fled on foot, Powers said. One was taken into custody quickly. The female suspect was found hiding in a backyard, he said, and the remaining male suspect was also found in a back yard.
