One Killed, Two Injured in Two-Car Collision on San Francisco's Embarcadero

Three people were injured, one of them fatally, in a vehicle collision on The Embarcadero Wednesday afternoon, according to a San Francisco fire spokesman.

The two-vehicle collision was reported at 12:09 p.m. on The Embarcadero at Bryant Street, according to fire department spokesman Jonathan Baxter.

Three people were transported to the hospital, two in critical condition and one in stable condition. One of the victims died around 2:45 p.m., according to Officer Albie Esparza.

Police are on scene investigating the crash and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.

Service on San Francisco Municipal Railway lines, including the N-Judah, T-Third and E-Embarcadero, could be delayed by the collision, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.
