Bay Area-native Tom Hanks is becoming a regular on daytime TV.
The acting legend made a joint appearance with Julia Roberts on Oprah a couple weeks ago promoting their summer flick "Larry Crown." He was also master of ceremonies on Monday's Oprah farewell extravaganza in Chicago.
Tuesday he's making an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." During that chat Hanks talked about growing up in Oakland. Hanks attended Skyline. His new movie is loosely based on his two years at Chabot College in Hayward.
"I'm a white boy from Oakland," Hanks said.
Then he pointed to Tony who kicked in the "funk."
Hanks jumped up and proved that although he is truly from Oakland, that does not automatically mean he has the moves.
"Larry Crowne" opens in July. Ellen airs every weekday on NBC Bay Area at 4 p.m.
