Tomato Spill Near Campbell's Soup “Extremely Slippery”

Campbell's Soup representatives were being Mmm Mmm mum about a slippery mess early Tuesday morning after thousands of pounds of tomatoes spilled on the way to its cannery, causing the road to become slickened by the ketchup-y substance.

A semi-truck had an accident about 2:50 a.m. at Dixon Avenue and Pedrick Road in Solano County. According to KCRA, the driver told officers he was cut off by another car, causing his trailer to flip.

Campbell's Soup Co. is also on Pedrick Road.

The road was briefly shut down about 3:30 a.m. because the road was "extremely slippery," according to the California Highway Patrol log.

The road was reopened about 6 a.m., but was still quite gooey with the scattered red fruit.
