A campus safety alert was issued this weekend at Santa Clara University after two armed robberies targeted two students.
Campus police said both crimes happened early Saturday morning and both students were robbed at gunpoint.
One of the robberies happened on campus, while the other happened near university property.
The robberies have frightened some students.
"It's scary to know that there are people out there that would do that because there were also events last summer," Santa Clara University student Emily Sidford said.
According to an alert sent out to the campus community, there were five male suspects involved.

Campus police reminded students to be aware of their surroundings and to travel in groups at night.
